Been looking for this for 14 yrs I am inlove with this game, kept me occupied for HOURS when I was little. It’s so much fun and the memories comes back, but I don’t remember having to pay to play the next levels though, usually we move on or go to the next one by choice. This new update isn’t as much fun as it use to be with having to pay for the next levels

Are used to enjoy this game as a kid, but the dumb subscription is just ruining the game for me. I can’t play the other levels.

I used to play this game so much and I just wanted to play it again but now it’s ruined o don’t understand the stupid subscription since it used to be free and nothing has changed. It’s so stupid I love the game but the subscriptions gotta go if you want anyone to play. You could even make a version that is free that has a little bit less in it. I just really want to play.

FINAL 2024 UPDATE: it looks like they finally removed the subscription requirement for people who already downloaded the older ver (find an old device with iOS 10 or earlier), which is why i'm now giving the app 2 stars, since recut got delisted from the app store and it's still the EXACT same game, even with some new bugs if you're playing on newer phones. you'll have fun if you played it before, but for everyone else, stay away. as a guy that played the original game, this update is an insult to the game's legacy. TL;DR: i'm upset about how an ios classic can and would be treated this way. it's disgusting. while i'm happy this game is back, why the subscription? no one's gonna buy your garbage subscription just to play one game. it's a shame too because future generations will have to pay for a subscription unless they have the technical know-how to manually update the original 32 bit app. you're better off getting a 32 bit device and downgrade (more like upgrade) from this garbage. i'd much rather pay up front then pay for a subscription. you brought back a classic, just to disrespect it's legacy by locking it under a paywall. you people disgust me. these idiots don't deserve a penny. if you want a remaster, check out recut. it's made by the same devs of the original, and you'll be actually supporting their work unlike these sellouts which i can only assume they bought the rights to this game. if you're gonna lock this game behind a paywall, the least you could do is include a trial/demo mode.

Used to play this game all the time and now you have to pay for it ever month??? Remove the subscription!!! I know for a fact people aren’t paying for it. If you were to make the game free it would bring in many more players and you could put in ads and you’d probably make more money that way. Especially if you added a feature where for like 2.99 or so remove ads. I understand you’re just trying to make money but come on let people play the game.

As far as I can tell they didn’t add anything new and from what I’ve seen it might be worse than it was before in addition to the subscription required to play the full game. You took something that was originally a normal and well built game, a classic and part of so many people’s childhoods and you corrupted it and twisted it into some foul mockery. This used to be a normal game, i played it almost daily when i was young but now it’s some him Jim subscription nonsense. Let people own things, not everything needs to be a subscription. Y’all’s scum bags. I wish nothing but the worst for your company and it’s cancerous business model.

This game was a staple in my childhood and i wish it got more popular back then. A very well made game!!

ok so I've played this game since I was like 5-6, and I love it I rlly do but I don't remember ONE part of me having to pay to continue????? I don't like it, I HATE it. can you just remove the subscription thing? Just to make it easier for other people (and me) to play??? It's rlly not that hard and when I remembered the name of this game I quickly got so exited. until I had to pay like 400 a month???! no. just really NO.

I loved this game. I got it when I was 6 or younger. I PLAYED THIS GAME EVERY DAY. I wanted to play this again and so I did. I played and enjoyed the first 4 levels. I wanted to play the whole game but to do that you need to do the 5th level. I tried to, I wanted to, but a screen popped up. It said that I needed to subscribe in order to play the game, and I was okay with that. When I went to subscribe, it said, “1st month free, then $4.99 per month”. it cost $4.99 to SUBSCRIBE. You can subscribe to people on YouTube for FREE. WHY DOES THIS GAME HAVE TO COST MONEY I LOVED THIS GAME IT WAS LITERALLY MY FAV😭

This is my childhood!

I am an old player of this game. I was feeling nostalgic and decided to re download it, only to discover IT COSTS MONEY NOW???? This is outrageous, this game is NOT that good to be costing money. What a joke.

I thought that this game is the best!!! I have had this game for years and it doesn’t make me board!! I absolutely love this game and it is even kid friendly!!! I thought this game was great and you will too!!!

I LOVE THIS GAME SOOOO MUCH i use to play this game a bunch when i was little but i don’t remember you had to pay to play. No wonder i only had memories of the first FOUR levels. I am kinda poor and i wanted to play something i really missed playing but i can not really play the rest of the game without paying. I understand that is how you make money but you can put that on buying accessories for the character but no you have to pay to play more then the first four levels.

This is really good. It deserves a five star. You know why? Because it’s the closest thing to a Mario game you ever get (besides Mario Run).

I was brought back to this game after remembering what it once was, only to find it the train wreck it is today. The adds are too much and I want the old paper monsters back!

Wow. They ruined my childhood game. There’s only 12 levels now, there used to be lol 30 or 40. There were side worlds, no more. Why? How could you do this?

I have been searching for this game for weeks. I finally found it and was so excited to play, instead I was greeted with a “yOu NEeD tO pAY mOnThLy TO PlAY OnE GaMe” sign as soon as I opened the app. Unbelievable, you took the best game I ever played as a 4 year old and locked it behind a paywall. You people don’t deserve a penny, take the subscription off and I’ll think about a one time payment.

I used to play this in my child hood and a It’s still amazing. The animation style is great, the plot is superb, and the nostalgia is crazy. This game deserves all the love it gets!

...it was bought, originally, as a one time purchase. The sale and subsequent “subscription revenue model” for game club are a deal breaker for me. Not because I object to subscribing, outright, but because of the sense of a broken promise. Once sold as an indefinite license, it should remain an indefinite license. I have a budget for subscriptions and I’m not spending that budget on anything that breaks a promise. Because ... why would I? The number one issue with subscription models is trust, and if the trust is already broken from the outset, that’s a problem. There are ways to rework this such that purchasers of the original game aren’t forced into the subscription. It’s implementable in the AppStore, and I’ve seen it work. This then constitutes an unforced error on Game Club’s part, having purchased it from the former developer. Let me know if this changes. I’d love to be wrong.

I loved Paper Monsters. I got it when I was six years old. It was so fun and addictive. But now a there is a monthly subscription you need to play this game. I have Paper Monsters: Recut, which is pretty much the same thing as this game. It has eye-catching graphics, addictive gameplay, and fun boss levels. If you are a gamer, you should get this game.

So this game is still as creative and awesome as I remember, but I don’t like how now I keep getting pop-ups from the company...

I first got this game back in 2016 and it was awesome and I really loved it and I have been trying to get it back again but first I could only find that other dark version or whatever and last time I tried that I couldn’t do anything now today I found the original full game and I was super excited but when I got it there was all this stuff about joining a club or something 😥 all I wanted is to play on game NOT sign up for a membership plan to play a bunch of different games, this is a mobile game but something like that kind of stuff belongs on a computer😠 and now I only have a choice of ether doing one month free or using the free tokens to play for 5 minutes, 5 MINUTES 🤨 r u serious and u only get two, TWO!! So I tried it and it’s really not good when your battling and the timer runs out and your being attacked and u can’t go back. Y can’t you just make it so there’s a version that you can play normally without all the perks this is unnecessary and I’m very disappointed 😒🙁😠. U can only play for 5 minutes HOW MUCH are u going to get done on a game like this in 5 minutes. Again stuff like this belongs on a computer game version NOT on A mobile game🙁😢😔😔🤯😤😠😡🥺🥺☹️😞☹️🥺 please fix this maby I just want to play...NORMALY, or at least bring back the other version it sound like your just advertising your company with this one game and use this to piggyback off of and get people to join, 😳😤 NOT right some of us just want to play 1 regular game and not something that use to be fun but is now just a brief advertisement for a company. For me and some of my friends this was an og game we played so I decided to download cause why not and it’s still as I remember it 😄

I love this game but GameClub ruined the entire experience. Remember when really liking the mini games but know I can play them. And the worst part about GameClub is they didn’t add anything new.

I haven’t played this game in years but just remembered about it and it is pretty fun. I already bought this game so I am not sure how the gameclub subscription works. This game has good controls.

I played this game when i was younger and i LOVED IT but now it’s saying i cant get it because the developer needs to update the game. PLEASE UPDATE IT, that would make me soooo happy.

This game was my favorite until the app developers stopped updating the game so no one could play it. I wish they would update it to the OS because it has stopped working and is very frustrating.

BEST GAME EVER

This game is a ton of fun . Challenging and supper cute . One of my fav games . My only complaint is when I save and answer a text it makes me restart whole level .

This is the best game I've played ever for a mobile device . This definitely needs to be turned into a real video game . I would buy it .

I love this game and I have been glued to it since I bought it! But when I get to the last level in the pumpkin time world I get so far and it crashes every time in the same spot! It happens on my iPhone and on my iPad! Please fix this so I can finish the level! Until then I will be giving it 3 🌟🌟🌟stars but if it was fixed it def. Deserves 5!
